New Mad Science Camp Dates Added in Arlington, McLean and Herndon

New Camps added June 18th- 22nd

Do you know what your kids will be doing the week of June 18th?  They won’t be going to school.  Earlier this month, Fairfax county voted to end the school year on June 15th.  What does that mean for your kids?  They have one more week to take an awesome Mad Science or Team Makers camp!  Your kids can be rocket scientists, secret agents, or much more.  Check out all our awesome topics at www.madscience.org/dc!  Want to mix things up this summer?  Sign up for a Team Makers camp in the morning and Mad Science in the afternoon!  Learn more at www.teammakers.com/dc

Crime Scene & Chemistry- Go inside a scientist’s lab and discover the secrets you’ve always wondered about.  Use your skills as a chemist to make your own radical reactions with batteries, a chemical clock, and more.  Compare fingerprints and discover the mysteries of DNA as you fine tune your detective skills.  Make “brain goo” and check out your bones as you travel the organ trail to uncover the secrets of your own body.

Secret Agent Lab- Become a Mad Science secret spy and take a fascinating journey into the world of detection, forensics, and classified information. Learn code language to send secret messages as part of your mission.  Go undercover and decode messages from other agents using your top secret clearance.  Investigate a “crime scene” and sift through clues to crack the case.  Join the Mad Science Bureau of Investigation and sniff out forgeries and counterfeits.  Take home projects include a detective kit, spy glasses, and more!

Earth, Space, and Beyond- Explore the world of science!  Discover space travel as you prep a rocket for flight and build your own flying orbiter. Design a crash test helmet to protect your “egg-cellent” partner.  Use the rays of the sun to make a tasty treat and turn a shadow into a picture.  Figure out the trick of tight ropes with your own C.G. Owl.  Send your friends secret messages using chemical reactions.  Discover your passion for science by exploring life, earth, and physical science.
