Half-price tixs: Rock Out with the Kids at Imagination Movers’ Rock-O-Matic Concert Tour
This is your chance to take the family to a kid-friendly concert that you’ll actually enjoy as much as they will. The Imagination Movers come to the Weinberg Center for the Arts on a North American tour for their latest CD, Rock-O-Matic. You may know The Movers from their hit show on Disney Junior or from their appearances on The View, Live with Regis & Kelly, and Good Morning America. Or perhaps you’re lucky enough to be discovering them now for the first time. Kids love the high-energy comedic abilities of the four performers — Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty — as well as the fun song lyrics about healthy snacks, playing catch and conquering bedtime fears. Parents likewise love the refreshing, non-syrupy lyrics — but what they love even more is the hard-rocking edge to the sound, reminiscent of the Beastie Boys or the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their appeal to adults and kids alike his enabled them to sell roughly 250,000 CDs and DVDs and to have their 2011 tour rank as one of Pollstar magazine’s top 100 tours of the year. “Our goal is to make many kids’ first concert experience also one of their parents’ most memorable experiences,” says Mover Rich. “We hope everyone leaves needing a nap!”
Event is at Weinberg Center for the Arts, At the corner of Market and Patrick (20 West Patrick Street Frederick, MD 21701) on May 13th. Click here to sign-up for Gold Star to learn more about these half-price tickets.
